First Blog Post!

Hello! Hope here.

Wow, first blog post. Ever. That sounds like a lot of pressure! Hopefully I won't make a fool of myself. I think I'll just start of my telling you a few things about me. I'm 17 years old, my friends say that I'm mature for my age but I can sometimes be a bit goofy and silly when I want to be. I have an older sister whose 21 years old, she's very young at heart and her favourite thing is Disney. I myself am very sporty, I coach an Under 13's school volleyball team at my old school and I also love playing hockey (field) and soccer. This may make it sound like I was a 'tom-boy' at school, and maybe I was, but I was even more involved in music than I was in sport. Four morning music clubs during the week, one after school and one at lunchtime! Singing, clarinet and saxophone kept me very busy, and after all that I had school work as well! I'm so glad that I'm finished with high school, it was a lot of fun at times but the pressure does get to you and you end up counting the days until it's all finished. University starts tomorrow, and I'm very excited about going to my lectures and meeting new people and encountering new experiences.

I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time now, and there's a few reasons why I think I wanted to. One is that I love to document my life and things that happen to me, I take lots of photos and don't really have anywhere to display them, so having a blog where you can post pictures and short clips was very enticing! Another reason is a bit more personal I think. It's been a long time since I've had anyone I can really talk to and tell things to, someone who I think actually cares and who I can care about in return. A lot of things in my life go untold because of this, so writing them down here will be a good release of the frustration of having to keep everything inside. The final straw that pushed me to actually sit down and start writing was me purchasing a Macbook Pro yesterday! I apologise for the absence of personal photos in this post, because my laptop's so new I have no personal pictures what so ever that I can access.

What are some other things I can tell you about me? I live in Perth, Australia, which (fun fact!) is the loneliest city in the world. I have two dogs which I love so so much, one called Bailey whose a black and white cocker spaniel and is 6 years old, and the other one is called Zak, he's a black labrador and is almost 15! Dogs are my favourite animals and I really support shelters and rescues that help save strays and find them new homes. Hopefully in the future I will save many many dogs and give them forever homes.

Well I think that's a pretty good summary of me! I hope you found this interesting (or at least not mind-numbingly boring) and soon I will definitely start documenting things about my life on here.

So long for now,
Hope xxo
